Lakeview Hospice has experienced dynamic growth since its founding in 2008. Its powerful name derives from the idea of the calm, beautiful, and peaceful view upon a lake. The color blue is also a representation of the helper, the rescuer, and the friend in need. We are here to do as our name and colors represent.
Our comfortable and accommodating hospice is located within Burbank, and is open to all patients within and near the area. Our staff has over 25 years of combined experience providing quality care that our patients and their families can trust. We want nothing but the best for our patients, and our staff are always on call for whatever our patients would need.
Currently, Lakeview Hospice employs over 20 professionals, who care deeply about terminally-ill patients and are available 24/7 for questions and patient care. We are reliable, responsible, and loyal to each and every one of our patients and families in need and bring care to the patient wherever they reside. Norman T Chien, MD, CMD
An Internist who specializes in geriatric medicine, Dr. Chien is a compassionate clinician in the Pasadena area ever since he finished his fellowship training in St. Louis University Hospital. He serves as part of the faculty staff at Huntington Memorial Hospital, where he received the Zeilstra Physician- Patient Communication Award in 2004. His extended experience in taking care of patients from hospital to long-term care facility has deepened his belief in a holistic approach to wellness. He finds outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and skiing, invigorating and inspiring.
